A.M. Architect’s Diego Chavez and Daniel Stanush take “ambien music” into the next stratosphere with their first of two EP’s released this year on Toronto’s Urbnet records. The sample-based electronic music of “Pattern Language” consists of the dynamic duo (AM Architect) playing and arranging original bass, guitar and piano atop echoing percussion creating the most glorious 26-minutes of sound I’ve heard thus far this year, which is why they are currently NEOREVIVALIST’S featured album The album’s title comes from Professor Christopher Alexander’s 1977 book about urban design and architecture. Sticking with the theme of the title, “Pattern Language” is an amalgamation of hauntingly cinematic, folk, electronica, hip-hop and chillout music that speaks to the masses collectively.
